Use uma expressão regular para verificar se uma string está vazia. Armazene o padrão em REGEXP.

Exemplo

isEmpty("") ➞ true

isEmpty("not empty") ➞ false

Altere apenas o padrão atribuído a REGEXP; a função auxiliar já foi fornecida.
